i went antiquing with my parents today. i love antiquing at good antique malls with them.
i got a super cute red plastic owl keychain that pops apart, a blue train case for my knitting needles and two pyrex princess mixing bowls that are PINK

there is what they look like.
i also bought some new yarn today. the knitting store didnt have the beroco alpaca wool blend i was looking for in the teal i wanted, so i bought some balls of a kid mohair blend in like a dark dove gray. im using a free pattern from rowan for a gemma beret. im excited!

I'm working like crazy to finish my finals by next week.
I also have 15 bags to sew from my printed cotton canvas by Wednesday.
Other than that I need to
+ print my last pattern for advanced screen printing
+ compile an entire, really nice looking political zine from contributions I have yet to recieve
+ write a 4 page paper about the place of zines in current society
+ write a 5 page paper on urban theory and re-read urban theorist to prepare for the short answer portion of my urbanism final
+ write a 3 page paper critically comparing two pieces of modern art- though I have yet to be assigned my image choices
+ pen an in-class paper on the film theory and criticism of horror movies
+ compile a fou press release packet of my work and other material for career development class

all that is due at various stages before the 17th... I fly home on the 18th, only to start working at the kitchen store again on the 21st... man, constant work.

oh yeah!
and im screen printing 8-10 t-shirts for christmas presents before i leave.
gosh. nose to the grindstone.

is november really almost half over?

where did fall go?
i think winter will be upon us soon.
i've been busy designing bags and totes and backpacks for MICA's art market at the end of the semester.
art market is a school wide, multi department sale of student and faculty art work and gift items. it's conveniently timed right before the holiday season, so if you live around baltimore you should plan to attend. personally, i can say that prices for alot of things will be very reasonable, and with something like 7 departments participating, you can shop a multitude of things in one stop. i will be selling my bags and maybe some zines through the printmaking department. hopefully i can get a picture up of a finished bag by the end of the week.
this saturday i'll be in nyc at ps1, and im taking advantage of the chance to visit purl soho for the first time.
i hope that purl soho is worth the 8 hours total transit from baltimore.
the purlbee blog really makes me think so. i've been hoarding workstudy money to buy fabric for bags and personal stuff and yarn to make some new knit projects. im so excited!
